Welcome to the Breadalbane area of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. Easily accessible yet with a remoteness and tranquillity that offers you total relaxation away from the busier areas of the Park. A place to stay, explore and enjoy the peace and quiet of the more remote glens and mountains and yet centrally located for visiting the whole of the Southern Highlands.
You can visit Breadalbane from the north via Loch Tay and Killin with the Ben Lawers mountain range towering above, from the east via St. Fillans, Loch Earn and Lochearnhead, from the south via Loch Lubnaig, Strathyre and Balquhidder or from the west via Tyndrum, Crianlarich and Strathfillan.
Follow in the footsteps of St. Fillan through Glen Dochart to Killin with the Falls of Dochart - one of Scotland’s favourite and most photographed beauty spots - tumbling through the very heart of this picturesque village, the centre of services for the Breadalbane area. Walk, cycle or drive through spectacular Glen Ogle, a major routeway for hundreds of years, linking the north part of Breadalbane to the south.
The whole of Breadalbane is rich in history – both local and natural, a place to explore and enjoy the outdoors – whatever your interest and ability, quiet yet welcoming – a place to stay and savour. A place to return to again - and again.
