Public Transport
Rail. The only rail transport passing through the Breadalbane area is the West Highland Line from Glasgow Queen Street station. At Crianlarich station the line splits, with trains going to Oban through Tyndrum Lower station while the trains to Fort William and onwards to Mallaig (connecting with the boat to Armadale on Skye) pass through Tyndrum Upper station. Between Crianlarich and Bridge of Orchy the railway line follows the long-distance West Highland Way walk so it is possible to walk the Crianlarich – Tyndrum – Bridge of Orchy sections of the West Highland Way and return to your starting point by train.
